Study on Nutrient Content in Compost of Raintree and Azolla

Abstract

Study on nutrient content in Rain Tree and Azolla and the optimum of used compost to grow plants, the compost pile using aeration and reversible 1: 1 ratio. The nutrient content such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. The study found that nitrogen is 2.4 %, phosphorus is 0.4 %, and potassium is 0.3 %. Nitrogen content has exceeded the standard, the phosphorus and potassium are lower than the standard.  The study of used optimum compost to grow plants, use of compost rate 100 g 200 g and 300 g. Results showed that plant growth the composts 300 g. The height average of highest was 38.13 and the circumference highest average was 0.86 cm., the average stem diameter was 0.86 cm. Therefore, the compost from Rain Tree and Azolla sp. were used as fertilizer increase nutrients to plants and another choice of farmers instead of chemical fertilizers.
