The Information Management System for Teachers and Students Data at Pakse Teacher Training College, Champasack Province, Lao PDR

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to 1. develop information system for managing teacher and student data of Pakse Teacher Training College Champasack Province Lao PDR 2. evaluate the effectiveness of the information system for managing teacher and student data of Pakse Teacher Training College Champasack Province Lao PDR and 3. evaluate the satisfaction to waed the information system for management teachers and students data of Pakse Teacher Training College Champasack Province Lao PDR. The PHP and MySQL were employed for data management through a web application. A questionnaire was used to determine the efficiency of the system evaluated by 5 computer experts and 30 general users. There were 2 phases of research activities which consisted of phase 1 : system development and phase 2 : system efficiency evaluation. The research findings were as follows: 1) The developed information system for managing teacher and student data of Pakse Teacher Training College Champasack Province Lao PDR consisted of 4 main parties including administrator, academic staffs, lecturers and, students. 2) Result of efficiency evaluated by the experts was in high level with average score 4.55. 3) Satisfaction result from general users was also in high level with the average score 4.67.
