Factors Associated with Active Aging Among Elderly People in Krokphra District, Nakhonsawan Province

Abstract
This descriptive research study aimed to determine the level of active ageing and examine the factors associated with active aging among elderly people in Krokphra District, Nakhonsawan Province. The participants were 7,045 persons who were aged 60 and older living in Krokphra District, Nakhonsawan Province. The samples were 435 from persons finite population mean, gathered by muti-stage random sampling. Data were collected by questionnaires, with a validity value of 0.88 and a reliability value of 0.736-0.862. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, Eta correlation and Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient. The results revealed that 1) overall active aging of health was a high level at 65.7 %, overall active aging of participation was a middle level at 53.8 % and overall active aging of security was a low level at 40.9 %; 2) There were significantly positive relationships among marital status and health behavior with active aging on a statistically significant difference at 0.05.
