Abstract
The purposes of this study Development of a Web Based GIS Application for Volcanic Rice Group in Khok Muang Village, Chorakhemak Subdistrict, Prakhon Chai District, Buriram Province, were to conduct surveys and develop and display online geographic information system database for the volcano rice group in Khok Muang Village, Chorakhemak Subdistrict, Prakhon Chai District, Buriram Province, utilizing the concept of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Research participants drawn by the purposive sampling technique were 15 members of the executive committee of the volcano rice group. Research findings revealed that there were nine databases developed, including data entry for officers, rice farming members, plantation, locations of farming plots, farming areas, type of products, distribution, and areas suitable for economic crops. Online geographic information system for the volcano rice group consists of six sections, namely main page, recorder data management, member data management, data management, areas suitable for economic crops, and data reporting. The data were obtained from a total of 176 members owning 228 plots with the total area used for growing volcano rice of 2621 rai, 3 ngan and 54 square wah. The overall system’s efficiency evaluation result was at a very good level (=4.75). The results from the users’ satisfaction with the online geographic information system for the volcano rice group showed that the users’ satisfaction with the system was at the high level (
