Author Guidelines

Submission of Manuscripts for Publication Consideration

Manuscripts submitted for consideration must not have been previously published in any journal and must not be under consideration by another journal at the time of submission. If any portion of the research content or data has previously appeared in conference proceedings, the submitted manuscript must include substantial additions or extensions beyond the previously published material and must demonstrate clear academic merit. All manuscripts will be reviewed by qualified experts through a peer-review process and must receive approval from the editorial board prior to publication.

The journal accepts two types of manuscripts: research articles and academic articles.

Research articles must not exceed 15 A4 pages. Each manuscript must include the title, author name(s), author and co-author affiliations, corresponding author contact information, abstract, and keywords (not more than five). All of these components must be provided in both Thai and English. The manuscript should then be followed by the main text, acknowledgement (if any), references, and appendix (if any). The main body of the research article must consist of the following sections: Introduction, Scope of the Study or Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgement, and References.

Academic articles must be no fewer than 10 pages and no more than 15 A4 pages. These articles may consist of scholarly reviews, compilations, translations, or academic discussions based on books, documents, experiences, or other sources, with the objective of disseminating knowledge in various fields or presenting opinions and recommendations of academic value. Academic articles must include the title, author name(s), affiliation(s), corresponding author contact information, abstract, and keywords (not more than five), all in both Thai and English. The structure of the main text may resemble that of a research article; however, academic articles do not require sections such as Materials and Methods, Results, or Experimental Findings.

Manuscript Submission

Authors are required to submit their manuscripts together with a completed submission form for either research articles or academic articles. The submission procedure must follow the instructions specified in the official submission form.

Manuscript Format and Preparation

For ease of editing, manuscripts should be prepared using Microsoft Word for Windows and formatted on A4 paper size with the following page settings:

        - Top and bottom margins: 2.54 cm

        - Left and right margins: 2.54 cm

        - The manuscript must be formatted in single-column layout.

All text, both in Thai and English, must use the TH SarabunPSK font in black color only.

The first page of the manuscript must include the title, author and co-author names, abstract, and footnotes indicating the position and affiliation of each author. The first page must be prepared in both Thai and English in sequential order and arranged in a single-column format with a width of 15.2 cm.

The title must be centered on the page, beginning with the Thai title followed by the English title.

Author names must be centered below the title with one line of spacing above and below the author list. If there is more than one author, the word “and” should be placed before the last author’s name. Academic titles should not be included. Superscript Arabic numerals must be placed after each author’s name to indicate different affiliations, as shown in the sample first page format.

Both Thai and English abstracts are required. The heading “บทคัดย่อ” should be used for the Thai abstract, and the heading “Abstract” should be used for the English abstract, with only the letter “A” capitalized. The heading must be centered. The abstract text must be written in a single-column format with a 1.5 cm indentation at the first line and must consist of only one paragraph. References must not be included in the abstract. Each abstract must not exceed 350 words.

Keywords must be provided in both Thai and English. The heading “คำสำคัญ” should appear below the Thai abstract, aligned to the left, with one line of spacing above. Each article should include approximately three to five keywords. The heading “Keywords” should appear below the English abstract, with only the letter “K” capitalized. Only the first letter of the first word of each keyword should be capitalized.

All author affiliations must be listed according to the superscript numbering and must include the email address following the author names.

Main Body of the Manuscript

The main text of the article should include the following sections: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements (if any), and References. All sections must be formatted in single-column layout without extra spacing between paragraphs. Leave one blank line before a new main heading. Headings should be aligned to the left margin. The main text should be indented 0.5 cm at the beginning of each paragraph. Headings must be numbered. The Introduction should be numbered as “1.”. Subsections should follow a decimal numbering system, for example: 1.1, 1.1.1, 1.2, 1.2.1, etc.

Figures, Tables, and Equations

All content within figures and tables must be presented in English. Every figure and table must be clearly numbered and accompanied by a descriptive caption.

Figures should not exceed 15 cm in width and must have appropriate resolution. Text appearing in figures must be clearly legible and not smaller than the main text. When reduced to a width of 7 cm, the figure must remain clear and readable. All figures must be placed at the end of the manuscript after the tables and must be cited within the main text. Figure captions must use TH SarabunPSK font size 14 pt, with bold formatting for the figure number and title and regular formatting for the description. Captions must be centered within the column. Line drawings must use black lines only. Photographs should preferably be clear black-and-white images, although color images may be accepted when necessary. Only essential details should be included. One line of spacing should be left above the figure and one line below the caption.

Each table must be numbered and captioned above the table. The caption must use TH SarabunPSK font size 14 pt, with bold formatting for the table number and title and regular formatting for the description. If footnotes are included below the table, they must use the same font style but at 12 pt size. Tables must be left-aligned within the column. One line of spacing should be left above the table caption and one line below the table. Small tables should not exceed 7 cm in width. Larger tables may have a maximum size of 15 × 19 cm (portrait orientation) or 19 × 15 cm (landscape orientation). All tables must be placed after the figures at the end of the manuscript and must be cited within the main text.

Equations must be centered within the column. In cases where equations are lengthy, they may extend across the full page width. Each equation must be numbered in parentheses, and the equation number must be aligned with the right margin of the column.

Additional Recommendations

Units must follow the International System of Units (SI). Abbreviations should use standard international English forms. Scientific terminology in Thai must follow the Royal Institute of Thailand. Geographic names must follow official government designations.

For foreign terms translated or transliterated into Thai, the original term should be provided in parentheses upon first mention. If the term is not a proper noun, it does not need to begin with a capital letter, for example, “weber.” When the translated term is used again, only the Thai term should be used without repeating the English term.

References

In-text citations must follow the Author–Year format, for example: (Panpatchara Pinjinda et al., 2020), (Chaikham et al., 2016), (AOAC, 2000)

When the author’s name is part of the sentence: Panpatchara Pinjinda et al. (2020) reported that...

For multiple citations in the same parentheses, arrange them alphabetically and separate them with semicolons, for example: (AOAC, 2000; Chaikham et al., 2016; Hiemori et al., 2009)

Important Requirements

        - The reference list at the end of the manuscript must follow APA 7th edition format.

        - References must be arranged alphabetically (A–Z).

        - Every reference listed must be cited in the text.

        - References that are not cited in the manuscript must not be included in the reference list.
