Abstract

         This research aimed to 1) analyze and design a website-based emotional food recommendation system, 2) recommend food menus according to users’ emotional states by applying a Decision Tree Classifier, 3) evaluate the system performance by experts, and 4) assess user satisfaction with the prototype system.The system was developed using PHP with the Laravel Framework, JavaScript, and a MySQL database. The results showed that the system performance evaluation by three experts was at a high level ( = 4.40, S.D. = 0.56), while user satisfaction from 30 users was at a very high level ( = 4.55, S.D. = 0.69), indicating that the system can be effectively applied in practice.
