Abstract

This article aims to analyze the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in promoting lifelong learning within the Thai context. It integrates theoretical frameworks on AI literacy, lifelong learning models, and the digital divide. The study incorporates empirical data from national policies and AI-related educational projects in Thailand, as well as relevant research findings—such as surveys on AI literacy among Thai university students, qualitative analyses of policy documents, and in-depth interviews with experts. The findings suggest that AI has significant potential to personalize teaching and learning, enhance educational communication and management, and increase learning accessibility across all age groups [6, 8] However, key challenges remain, including infrastructure readiness, teacher capacity and technological skills, digital inequality among population groups, and concerns regarding ethics and data privacy [6, 8].

The study concludes that applying AI to lifelong learning must be accompanied by the development of AI literacy and digital skills for all citizens, efforts to reduce technological access gaps across regions and age groups, and the promotion of collaboration between government, private sectors, and educational institutions. These measures are essential for building an inclusive, equitable, and sustainable lifelong learning ecosystem in Thailand.
