Ethics in publishing articles in the Science and Technology for Community Journal

The Science and Technology for Community Journal aims and scopes to accept articles in both Thai and English on science and technology that are beneficial to the community, including:
1) Biological science, agriculture and environment, including  Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Food Technology, Plant Science, Animal Science,  Soil Science,  Plant Pathology
2) Physical science, including  Chemistry, Physics,  Materials Science,  Mathematics,  - Information Technology,  Engineering,  Industrial Technology, Energy and Environmental Sciences
3) Health science, including  Community Health Development,  Environmental Health,  Occupational Health, Health Information

In order to ensure that the journal is published correctly, guidelines and ethics for publishing articles for the operation of the journal are set as follows:

Roles and responsibilities of article authors
1. The journal requests the author to certify that the submitted work is the author's new work, does not copy the academic work of others, does not infringe on copyright or intellectual property, and has never been published anywhere before. If the above actions are found, the author is responsible for copyright infringement.
2. The submitted article must not be in the process of being submitted to other journals for consideration for publication. If the above actions are found, the editorial board will cancel the said article.
3. The journal requests that the research article be written correctly, following the journal's format specified in the author's instructions.
4. The journal requests that the author of the article cite both the content and the reference list at the end of the article when citing the work of others. If copyright infringement is found, the author is solely responsible for copyright infringement.
5. All authors whose names appear in the article must have actually participated in the research.
6. If there is a source of funding for the research, the source of funding must be specified.
7. If there is any conflict of interest, the journal requests that the author of the article provide details of such conflict of interest.
8. Articles related to research in humans or experimental animals Should be considered by the Research Ethics Committee (if any) by attaching evidence of certification with the article submitted to the editorial board. If there is a complaint about the violation of research ethics and the editorial board has considered that there is a real violation, the author of the article must withdraw the article.
9. Articles published in the "Journal of Science and Technology for the Community" are the property of Chiang Mai Rajabhat University.

Roles and duties of the editorial team
1. Journal advisors are responsible for considering and providing policy recommendations for the operation of science and technology journals to the community.
2. Journal editors are the core team leader in reviewing and examining articles, considering the consistency of the article content with the goals and scope of the journal, and checking and evaluating the quality of articles before publication.
3. The journal editorial team is a group of individuals who act as a working group of editors and are responsible for reviewing and examining articles, considering the consistency of the article content with the goals and scope of the journal, and checking and evaluating the quality of articles before publication.
4. Duties of the editorial team towards authors and article assessors
    4.1 Do not disclose information about authors and article assessors to others.
    4.2 Review and reject publication of articles that have been published elsewhere.
    4.3 The article assessment principles must be based primarily on academic reasons and must not be biased towards the authors and articles being considered in any way.
    4.4 Must not have any conflict of interest with the authors or article assessors, whether for business purposes or for personal academic work or other benefits.
    4.5 Check for plagiarism of others' academic work in articles. If such plagiarism is found, the article assessment process must be stopped and the authors of the articles must be contacted for clarification. To support the acceptance or rejection of the publication of the article
    4.6 Review the journal's article evaluation process to be confidential, fair, and free from bias
    4.7 Publish only articles that have passed the evaluation process by the article reviewers
    4.8 Do not edit or change the article content and the evaluation results of the article reviewers
    4.9 Must strictly comply with the journal's processes and procedures

Roles and duties of article reviewers
1. Article reviewers must not have any conflict of interest with the article authors.
2. Article reviewers must maintain confidentiality and not disclose information about the article to unrelated persons during the article evaluation.
3. They must not seek benefits from the article they have evaluated.
4. They must be aware that they are experts and have true knowledge and understanding of the content of the article being evaluated.
5. If it is found that an article is similar or duplicates an article that has been copied from another work, the reviewer must immediately inform the journal editor and provide clear supporting evidence.
6. Article reviewers must maintain the evaluation period according to the evaluation time frame specified by the journal.
