Register of Renown of Kamphaeng Saen Beef Bull

Abstract

The aim of this study was to set the register of renown score to  Kamphaeng Saen beef bulls  which transferring good characteristic to their calf. These renown bulls will be used by the farm members of Kamphaeng Saen Beef Breeders Association, the genetic improvement and production performance of Kamphaeng Saen beef research project and Kamphaeng Saen Beef Cooperative Ltd to produce calf that fit the need of their objective. The reports of Kamphaeng Saen beef cattle show and competition during 21012 – 2018 were used for calculating the renown score under the renown standard of Kamphaeng Saen Beef Breeders Association which was adapted from the  American Brahman Breeders Association. From 56 Kamphaeng Saen beef bulls, 6 top renown bulls were KU สันใน 51051 D4 M0933, KU แหลม 44048 D2 M0415 , MN ขวัญ 44025 D2 M0645, NN ปลาคาร์ฟ 45003 D2 M0254, KU 55029 D4 M1001 and MF 50002 D3 M0364 that had 38, 33, 32, 23, 20 and 19  renown score, respectively. KU สันใน 51051 D4 M0933, KU แหลม 44048 D2 M0415 and KU 55029 D4 M1001 were KPS bulls which transferring good characteristic to both of their male and female offspring. NN ปลาคาร์ฟ 45003 D2 M0254 and MF 50002 D3 M0364 were KPS bulls which transferring good characteristic only to their female offspring while MN ขวัญ 44025 D2 M0645 transferring good characteristic only to their male offspring while
