Publishing Ethics

Roles and duties of article authors

  1. Authors must not publish duplicate articles or submit manuscripts that are still in the journal's evaluation process to other journals.
  2. Authors must not plagiarize other people's works and texts to cause the misunderstanding that they are their own works or writings. It must include references to other people's work, if that work is used in your own article.
  3. Authors must pay attention to the format of the article as specified by the journal, especially the format for writing reference documents.
  4. Authors must not create false or forge information, embellish information, or write it in the article.
  5. In the manuscript, authors must indicate the source of funding supporting their research and specify only the name of the co-author involved with the research article
  6. Authors must notify the editor immediately, if they discover errors in their research that affect the research conclusions of manuscripts undergoing evaluation or articles that have already been published.
  7. If the research article is about humans or animals, authors must include an ethics certificate from the Human Research or Animal Research Committee with the manuscript

Roles and duties of reviewer

  1. Reviewers must not disclose information in the article to other unrelated parties during the article evaluation period.
  2. Reviewers should consider only articles in which they have expertise.
  3. Reviewers must not have a conflict of interest with the authors of the article under consideration.

Roles and duties of journal editors

  1. Journal and attach importance to preventing conflicts of interest between editor journal staff, authors, reviewers, and members of the editorial team.
  2. Editors are responsible for publishing to authors up-to-date instructions for preparing articles as expected by editors.
  3. The editor endorses the academic integrity of the articles published in the journal.

3.1 Efforts are taken to ensure the quality of published research by giving importance to the newness and clarity of research articles as well as their relevance to the scope of the journal.

3.2 Establish a process for evaluating articles by reviewers who have expertise in the content of the article including a system of confidentiality during the evaluation process. There is also a system to protect the personal information of article evaluators.

3.3 If any inaccuracies are found in an article that has already been published, including sentences that lead to misunderstandings or a report that distorts the facts, editors must make corrections promptly and with clarity.

3.4 If fraudulent behavior is found after the investigation has been carried out, the editor must proceed with the retraction of the article with clarity that can be proven. This includes publishing a notice of revocation to inform readers and other database systems.

 

  1. Editors must seriously check articles for plagiarism. If the editor finds an article that contains plagiarism, the editor will retract the article.
  2. Editors must not change their decision to accept articles that have already been rejected for publication and should not reverse their decision to publish an article that the previous editor had already rejected unless there is proof of serious problems occurring.
  3. Editors provide avenues for authors to appeal, if the author has an opinion that differs from the editor's decision, including providing clarification or information about the process of reviewing and evaluating articles.
