Abstract

The objectives of this research were to determine 1) socio-economic condition of the farmers who affected flood problems 2) the flood causes and the impact of flooding and 3) the adaptation of the farmers to flood problems. Samples were thirty farmers affecting flood problems. Findings results that the main reason of flood problems in Lad Yao sub-district Lad Yao District, Nakhonsawan Province was the topography and lowland area. The most impact of flooding affected the damage of agricultural products especially in 2016. The adaptation of the farmers to flood problems had 3 periods as follows: 1) the preparation before the flooding was the protection of the properties; 2) the adaptation of the farmers during flooding was the temporary relocation; and 3) the adaptation of the farmers after flooding was households and farmland
