Agricultural Extension Approaches and Needs for Development in Asparagus Farming in Kamphaeng Saen District, Nakhon Pathom Province

Abstract

The objectives of this study were 1) determine the farmers’ biography who are plant asparagus in Kamphaeng Saen, Nakhon Pathom province got the knowledge from extension workers    2) study about the need of the farmers to development their asparagus farm. The results shown that majority of the farmers got the knowledge about the asparagus from community leader or progressive farmer; however, there is some government officers and extension workers from private companies also give the knowledge to the farmers. For the issues of communication format that found they got the knowledge via mass media such as television, and printed media. Majority of the farmers have been the most problem in plant pathology and entomology. The development of farmers’ need to improving the training course about plantation technologies and the suitable of seedling for the environment that area
